 My Journey In Vedic Astrology

In the mid-1980s, a schoolteacher came to our home seeking astrological guidance from my father who was a famous astrologer of his time. As my father wasn’t home at the time, I asked him to wait. Knowing that I also practiced astrology, he asked me to interpret his horoscope.

After carefully analyzing his birth chart, I confidently told him that he had been, and would continue to be, plagued by disappointment, disagreement, and distrust in his married life. It seemed this was precisely why he had come to consult my father.

The teacher was astonished by the accuracy of my prediction. With growing curiosity, he asked if there was a remedy to alleviate his marital issues. I explained that his chart indicated that, due to a sin committed in a previous life, he was destined to face discord in his marriage for a total of six years, regardless of whom he had married. I further cautioned him that the worst was yet to come, and that this difficult phase would last for another five years.

Attempting any remedial measures, I warned, would only intensify his suffering. I advised him to adapt to his situation and wait until the karmic consequences of his past actions had run their course.

Despite my warning, the teacher chose not to heed my advice. He performed one ritual after another, as other astrologers had suggested, and spent much of his hard-earned money. Ultimately, he was thrown out of his home.

Years later, we crossed paths again at a wedding hall where I was working. He had been wandering, still seeking a solution to his problems. I revisited his horoscope and advised him to start a small business, and suggested he cleanse himself of negative influences, like the "Drishti" or evil eye.

He followed my advice, and in time, he rose to a better position in life. It was this man who encouraged me to begin practicing astrology more seriously
